• Rakhi Sawant has said that she will perform better than Vidya Balan in the remake of The Dirty Picture. She is doing the Bengali remake of the blockbuster which will be directed by MLA, Shatabdi Roy. She says that her film will be even more controversial than the original one. The film is reportedly based on an item girl’s life. Rakhi says that she was the obvious choice as she is the original item girl.
• Shahrukh Khan pleaded guilty and asked the court to exempt him from personal appearance in front of a Jaipur court. He was summoned on the complaint that he was seen smoking during an IPL  match in Jaipur. He has also expressed his willingness to pay the fine. Magistrate Shilpa Sameer has postponed the next hearing to 21 June. He is not required to be present personally in the next hearing.
• Venerable actor Naseeruddin Shah has said that he his really looking forward to work with Madhuri Dixit. The actors will be working together for the film Dedh Ishqiya. The film is being directed and produced by Abhishek Choubey and Vishal Bhardwaj respectively. Naseer says that the films that he has done with Madhuri has not been remarkable.  The script of the film is amazing according to him.
• Dharam Oberoi, Sanjay Dutt’s manager has started getting into the damage control mode. Recently Ram Gopal Verma has accused him of interfering with his film Department. Sanjay’s friends were also unhappy with Dharam’s behaviour. He paid Kangana Ranaut a visit whom he had snubbed during the shoot of Rascals on Wednesday. Rumours are that even Sanjay Dutt is trying to distance himself from Dharam.
• Actor Arjun Rampal tweeted about meeting Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart at Cannes. He also said that his wife forced him to take their autographs for their daughters. Arjun is visiting the prestigious film festival as the brand ambassador of Chivas. Reportedly Rohit Bal would design his outfit for the red carpet.
• Rohit Shetty has said that the shooting of Chennai Express will be starting in October 2012. The film which starts Shahrukh Khan is about a journey that starts on a train. Rohit wants to rope in some big names from South too. He is yet to finalise the female lead for the film. Rohit Will also be doing a film for Karan Johar’s Dharma Production.
• Abhishek Bachchan’s double role in Rohit Shetty’s  Bol Bachchan has been creating a buzz recently. His real name will be used as the character’s name in the movie. The trailer has already gone viral on the internet. Abhishek would be returning to comedy after a long gap.
• Singer Sonu Nigam has been pretty stressed up recently. Reason? A female fan had been stalking him for a couple of days. She has camped herself outside his apartment. She refuses to leave even after he agreed to meet him once. The singer and his wife have decided to inform the police.
• Actor Irrfan Khan says that he believes in the quality of the role and not the quantity. The actor will be essaying a small role in The Amazing Spiderman. He says that he has always intended to entertain people. The reactions have however varied according to the end results. He says that is acceptable as long one is not doing it just for the sake of the money.
• The cast of Teri Meri Kahaani will make an appearance on Extraaaa Innings to promote their film. Shahid Kapoor and Priyanka Chopra along with the director Kunal Kohli will be seen on the show. They will make an appearance on the pre-match portion of the show of the IPL finals. Already stars like Deepika Padukone, Tusshar Kapoor, Karisma Kapoor and  Riteish Deshmukh have used IPL as a platform to promote their films.
• Vidya Balan says that she is interested in doing a Marathi film. The National Award winning actress says that Marathi industry has been producing great films and she would like to be a part of it. The actress is recently receiving a lot of praise for her lavani number Mala Jau De.
