AK Hangal makes comeback at 95 in a TV show



Mumbai: AK Hangal, the much known face of Bollywood and Indian small screen, is the brilliant actor Indian soil has even witnessed. The actor is 95 and he has been in the entertainment business for last five decades. Having a supremely long career, Hangal is still excited for the acting job. Well, at 95, Hangal has been offered a role to play in a TV serial ‘Madhubala’ and the actor turned super thrilled with the offer. His comeback to acting is now going to happen with this TV serial.
He has acted in more than 225 Hindi movies and a number of television shows. We cannot forget this luminous actor’s face as he was seen in every other movie showing off his class as an actor. He has worked with the giants and almost all names of Hindi cinema. His role in Madhubala will be small and the show will go on air on Colors.
Prashant Bhatt, fiction head at Colors, says that it is a big honor to have the veteran on the show. He further adds that he is a true actor and still has sparkles in his eyes for acting. Prashant utters that we did not have to wheedle the actor much rather he said ‘yes’ after listening his part in the show.
AK Hangal’s memorable roles in movies include Rahim Chacha in ‘Sholay’ and Bipinlal Pandey in ‘Namak Haraam’. And we can also not forget his brilliant jolly acting in ‘Shaukeen’ in which he along with other oldies wooes Rati Agnihotri.
Veteran AK Hangal is no doubt the oldest face in Hindi cinema and he deserves huge applauds for his marvelous acting he endowed us to enjoy with. Let’s wait for the show’s airing to see the great actor’s brilliant acting once again after a long hiatus.
