Mumbai: They were ex-flames but now they have done a film together and currently they are being spotted together for the promotions of their upcoming flick. They are Shahid Kapoor and Priyanka Chopra who once dated when they were shooting for the film ‘Kaminey’. But soon their romance ended up and they parted ways. Now they have done a film ‘Teri Meri Kahaani’ together directed by Kunal Kohli. The movie is all set to hit the screens but before the film releases, they are doing the important and necessary work of promotion these days.

The duo is not leaving any stone unturned to promote the movie in an apt manner. They have constantly been doing the promotions in various manners. Both have been attending various events and making their appearances on various television shows and radio programs for creating the hype for the flick.

Yesterday Shahid and Priyanka were spotted together in Shahid’s lush vehicle. This is what happened that post the promotional activity at two radio programs, Shahid asked Piggy Chops to get into his red hot Jaguar that is a two seater from there they headed for attending the press conference at a five star hotel in Juhu, Mumbai.

The reports have it that Shahid had bought this car for Rs. 1.5 crores earlier this year. The movie ‘Teri Meri Kahaani’ consists of three eras- 1910, 1960 and 2012. The film has been well in news and the pairing of the ex-flames is also igniting the sparks inside the viewers’ hearts.

Expectations are high that the flick will make good at the box office. Apparently it seems so, but what destiny has in store for the flick will be revealed upon the release. Till then, we can only wait and hope for the best. Wish the film good luck.

Sujoy Ghosh to start sequel to Kahaani

Mumbai: Sujoy Ghosh is a talented filmmaker and script writer, this is now proved and the entire film industry and the masses admit the fact. With the box office and critically-acclaimed hit Kahaani, Ghosh has proved that he can make the films which can ignite the ticket window with gusto. We have learnt that Sujoy is currently writing two scripts to make two Hindi films which he will soon begin in India.

There is no denying at all that all and sundry are now waiting to see what Sujoy Ghosh will bring up for them on screen to watch? For the anxious people, this is the big news that the luminous filmmaker and writer is presently working on two scripts sitting in London. Sujoy himself tweeted to fans on his page that he was working on two screenplays – one for Amitabh Bachchan and other for Vidya Balan.

It has been learnt that for the project on Vidya, it will be a sequel to Vidya Balan’s mega successful film ‘Kahaani’. Sujoy mentions that once he finishes off with both the screenplays, he will be able to decide on which project he is to start working first. If the sequel to Kahaani is announced, it will be a treat for the movie’s fans. But what nice it would be if the sequel of the movie will be made after some hiatus since we all know when a gap happens, the interest quotient becomes stronger. Thus the moviegoers have to give some gap (as the movie has just been released recently) so that they can develop the interest and curiosity for the film.

Kahaani’s rights have also been sold out to regional movie makers to remake the film in regional languages. The talks are also going on with Aditya Chopra for Kahaani’s remake in English language for the world audiences in particular to Western viewers.

Kareena Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan’s marriage date fixed

Mumbai: We have been continuously hearing about the wedding date of Kareena Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan’s marriage but all those were the big ripples making the rounds of the media. A lot has been written in media about the marriage date and a lot has been penned on their ongoing romance. Their being spotted together and getting cozy and all sorts of things were projected and are being focused in the entire media. Their romance is high in the air. Few days back, there were rumors about the wedding date i.e. 16^th October but Kareena, in an interview, strictly and sternly denied all the reports saying all focus of the media and people was on her relationship and marriage. She also said there was no planning of marriage yet and that she was focusing on her movies only. But now her mother-in-law to be Sharmila Tagore has made it confirmed and put the silence mark on the wedding date’s rumors saying ‘yes, this (16^th October) is the marriage date, we have zeroed in.’

So now what will you say Kareena, hmmmm? Obviously now Sasu Maa has made it confirmed now you will only be silent and your silence will make it confirmed.

Sharmila Tagore says that the marriage will happen on the same date and there will be a reception but not that big. The reports have it that the marriage will take place at Patudai’s ancestral home where only the close family members will be there to bless the couple. Later, another wedding reception will be arranged in Mumbai for family members and close friends. This too will not be lavish.

Kareena has confirmed Sanjay Leela Bhansali that she will continue shooting for his film Ram Leela as she has to continue with films post the marriage. Well, let’s see if Saifu gives you permission post marriage.

Rowdy Rathore Box Office Collections – Reports and Earnings

And yes you now get to see Akhshay Kumar in a completely new avatar. Some say it is somewhat close to Akshaya’s Khiladi look however we find his act in Rowdy Rathore to be plane simple raw. The raw look seems bound to leave quite an impact and with the IPL season over and no other good movie in sight Rowdy Rathore is sure to be a bang on hit.
The movie has already received an amazing start in most parts of the countries. Housefull multiplexes and single screen theaters present the whole story. It seems the movie is doing better business in single screen theaters than in multiplexes. Single screen theaters in UP and Delhi say a 85% plus occupancy rate on day 1. The entire northern Indian region sees a similar fate. Down south and Maharashtra the movie is going a bit slow with an average of 65% occupancy rate. However, the figures are only expected to improvise by the weekend.
After opening to a huge response on day 1 it seems the movie did better than most of us anticipated. Day 1 Box Office Collections of Rowdy Rathore stands strong at 14.50 crores. It’s been quite sometime since we saw a movie do that well. Akshay Khiladi Kumar rekindles magic yet again.

Mumbai: These days Shahid Kapoor and Priyanka Chopra are quite in the news and the news headlines would love to feature both of them. Well, behind the heavy projection of the two is their upcoming movie ‘Teri Meri Kahaani’ directed by Kunal Kohli. The movie is based on the three eras – 1910, 1960 and 2012. Plus, the eminent judges panel comprising of the ace composer Anu Malik, suave musician Salim Merchant and the versatility personified Sunidhi Chauhan echoes the sky rocketing expectations that the Edition comes along with.

While people crowded like a swarm of busy bees in their quest for honey, their destinations was easily perceived. Five years gone by yet the grit, the compassion and most importantly the motto remains the same. Being tagged and crowned as the Nation’s next Singing Sensation is what remains the ultimate goal for every contestant on the show. Heart renching stories to captivating dreams, the auditions at the country’s capital city were on an all time high. People poured in from all corners of the Northern states with variegated ‘vesh’ but similar ‘bhasha’, the sound of Music. Some carved their niche with soulful melodies, some tried their luck with rhythmic sufi ballads and some catapulted to super success with the iconic Bollywood chartbusters. Apologies! Where many auditions were perfect concoctions to kill Music along with its sur and taal complete ‘Band Baaja Baraat’ style, there were too many peaks with a few valleys in between. One of the major ups of the episode would definitely be the treasured finds from the beloved ‘Pink city’ Jaipur. ‘Alaaps’, ‘ragas’ and ‘harkats’ galore, Jaipur auditions were testament to some beautiful auditions. Certainly a reason to call the city the Embodiment of Talent!
Shouts, screams and few jumps later, the tempestuous talents were en route to Glory. But with competition and wins, comes heart breaks and dejections too. This episode was hardly different! While some artists flew their way to chase their long awaited dreams, some suffered a setback. But nevertheless when God closes one door, he surely is in the mood to open a lot more doors to catch your Dreams!

 Hardly there would be anyone who raises any finger on this super brilliant actor’s acting skills. He is laced with endless amount of talents. He possesses the ocean of brilliance. Utterly in love with theater and literature, this actor is simply breath-arresting. He is a legend and whatsoever role is given to him, he slips into the skin of the character to bring out the originality in the role. He was once the king of parallel cinema. He is none other than Naseeruddin Shah. Well, after learning the name, you must have understood that this man deserves more praises than the ones written above.

These days he is often seen in specially knitted roles as we all know that he is a true fit for the characters which are written specially and which need special attention. Once Naseer is offered the role, he then brings in the creativity in the role on screen which user would love to watch it.

Debutante director Manish Srivastav wrote a script of a film ‘Charlie Ke Chakkar Mein’ and he specially put Naseer into mind by the time he was writing the screenplay. He then approached to the actor and gave him the script to read. Once Naseeruddin Shah finished with the script, not only did he sign the movie but also agreed to do the film at very low fee. Reason? He loved the screenplay utterly. Besides the film carries the majority of the cast which belongs to theater. This also enticed the star. The film will be produced by Karan Arora of High Ground Enterprises Ltd. The movie is presently under production and will be released by early next year.

The debutante director got supremely impressed by the sweet gesture of the actor. Manish is so impressed by Naseer and he has been a fan of him since the days of his parallel movies.

Mumbai: Arjun Kapoor and Parineeti Chopra’s recently box office hit Ishaqzaade has been going very strong in India and abroad. The movie did very handsome business and keeps on doing the same. Yash Raj Films, the banner which made the movie, also threw a success party for the film where the cast and crew came to adorn the event.
Where Parineeti Chopra is quite excited with the mega success of this film, Arjun Kapoor the leading actor of the movie, who made his cinematic debut with this flick, too is super thrilled. Arjun utters that today’s audience has begun accepting the new kind of movies. He goes on mentioning that today’s viewers have big intensity, which is why they are more than excited to accept the new kind of cinema. Kapoor says that today the audiences are much intellectual thus they only approve the actor who has acting skills. He was talking to the media at the celebration party of Indian cinema’s 100 years at Subhash Ghai’s Whistling Woods International Film Institute.
Giving an example, Arjun, 26, reveals that Ranveer is a brilliant example of this. He has been endowing the viewers with good work and in return the audiences like him. Parineeti Chopra, his costar in the movie, was also there. She too mentions that it is really great that the masses have begun liking the new movies with new scripts. Chopra says that today’s movies are no longer cliché. Parineeti, cousin of Priyanka Chopra, had initially join Yash Raj Films as a Marketing and PR Consultant but eventually turned out to be the banner’s heroine.
She reveals that she has not learnt the skills of acting at all and she used to ask her director and Arjun whether she was doing good. Parineeti also mentions that Whistling Woods has reminded her of her college days.

We are here with today’s Bollywood report fresh out of the oven. Just go through the news report to know about the incidents that took place in Bollywood today.

• The ‘Junglee Billi’  has actually adopted a wild cat in reality. Yes you read that right, Priyanka Chopra has adopted a lioness. The fifteen year old lioness is called Sundari and lives in Birsa Zoological Park in Ranchi. Priyanka will be responsible for the lioness for only one year. She had adopted a tigress named Durga earlier this year.
• The shooting of Karan Johar and Sajid Nadiawala’s much delayed project 2 States will finally begin next year. At first Sajid had decided to rope in Shahrukh Khan for the film. When that failed Karan became a co-producer and wanted to sign Ranbir Kapoor. Even that did not work out and the film became an uncertainty. Finally Imran Khan has decided to do the film much to the producers’ relief. The film is about the love story of a Punjabi boy and a South Indian girl which finally culminates in marriage.
• King Khan will be giving this year’s IIFA Awards a miss much to the disappointment of his fans. He will be busy shooting for Yash Chopra’s film at that time. The actor had attended last year’s ceremony but this year he will be in London with his family. He will be joined by Katrina Kaif and Anushka Sharma in London. The film is a quintessential love story which will be directed by Yash Chopra.
• A group of twenty one medical organisations including the Indian Medical Association has asked Aamir Khan to apologise. According to them the actor had insulted the profession in his tv show Satyamev Jayate. They have warned that in case their demand is ignored they would ask people to boycott the actor’s movies and shows. The episode was based on the insensitive malpractices in medical treatment.
• After Shimit Amin another Ram Gopal Verma protege will be directing a film for the Yash Raj Productions. Atul Sabharwal will be directing Aurangzeb for the production company which will star Arjun Kapoor. He had earlier written the script for Ram Gopal Verma’s My Wife’s Murder. He went on to direct a television series for the Yash Raj Productions next. Aditya Chopra spotted him there and asked him to write a screenplay. The film will see Arjun Kapoor in a double role for the first time.
• Venerable actor Naseeruddin Shah was so impressed with the script of his next film that he reduced his fees to a great extent. The film which is called Charlie Ke Chakkar Mein has been directed by debutant Manish Srivastav. Naseer will be playing the protagonist for a nominal fee. The film will also star a number of theater actors along with Naseer. The film is in it’s post production stage and will release next year.
• Actress Sonashi Sinha celebrates her twenty fifth birthday today. The actress is still enjoying the amazing response that her latest outing, Rowdy Rathode got. The actress started her acting career opposite Salman Khan in the blockbuster Dabanng. She has a long list of films awaiting release including Son Of Sardar, Lootera and Dabanng 2.
• Karan Johar has signed Emraan Hashmi for a film that he will be producing. The film will be directed by Renzil D’Silva and will star Kareena Kapoor too. The actress had some date problems which have been finally sorted. Emraan Hashmi is has become the talk of the town after the success of Jannat 2. He surely is one bankable actor everyone is watching out for.
• Anil Kapoor will be working with Sanjay Gupta once again in the latter’s film, Shootout At Wadala.. He had earlier starred in Sanjay’s film Musafir. Apparently the actor had said no when the director had offered him a film earlier. Anil says that he is happy that he signed this film. He goes on to say that the entire cast and crew of the film are working very hard and it is paying off.
• Raj Babbar will be seen playing Soha Ali Khan’s father in her forthcoming film. The actor has played Kareena’s father in Bodyguard in his last film. Though Timangshu Dhulia had not decided to cast him a chance meeting with Babbar made him take the decision. Saheb Biwi Aur Gangster 2 is being shot in Devgarh Baria in Gujarat.
• Deepika Padukone became the brand ambassador of Parachute Advansed recently. The actress will feature in the advertisements of their World’s Best Hair campaign. Deepika used to to feature in Parachute Advansed advertisements back in 2007. The actress says that she is happy to be back in the Parachute Advansed family. Apparently Deepika’s elegance and confidence makes her the perfect brand ambassador for the hair product.

Shah Rukh Khan now on way to buy Dempo

Mumbai: Shah Rukh Khan is on high heels of pleasures these days after the bigger success of Kolkata Knight Riders’s win over Chennai Super Kings in IPL Season Five final match. He has been doing celebrations since the day of victory. The man is boisterous since it is the first time that his team did superb in IPL. For the first time, the team reached to the top level of the tournament and then reached in the final. Well, he deserves all the celebrations. The winning has given the superstar more confidence now to invest into games. Now he seems to be interested in getting fifty percent stake in Dempo, one of India’s top notch football clubs.

The close sources from the club reveal that the actor has been holding talks with the owner of the Goa based I-League champion club. The meetings between Shah Rukh Khan and club’s owner Srinivas Dempo will bring in lucrative results, the sources are pretty sure.

Post the KKR’s win, Khan again held meeting with the owner and the club’s management. But still there is no conformation at all about whether the deal will happen or not since Shah Rukh is interested in 50% stake. Sources also add that there are certain things needed to be worked out prior to finalizing the deal between the two. Reports have it that the club definitely needs Shah Rukh Khan on ownership board due to his popularity as a big star of India. The club is of the view that his popularity would be beneficial in promoting the I-League champions who have been dominating the Indian football scene. Three times Dempo have won the I-League since its beginning in 2007-08.

Well, if the deal happens, it would be interesting to watch the football with Shah Rukh supporting the team.

Manam Koththi Paravai – Movie Review

Manam Koththi Paravai Tamil film hits the screens. The flick is a pure entertainer but this entertainer has any oomph values and entertaining masala for the audiences? For this, read on the review. There is another question arises in the mind whether the leading hero Siva Karthikeyan has the potential to carry the movie on his shoulders. Well, it does not seem so since the guy is not potentially strapping to lift the flick. Ezhil directs this venture that features Siva Karthikeyan, Athmiya,. Parotta Suri, Singam Puli, Ilavarasu, Ravi Mariya and Srinath, Chaams among others.

Ezhil has previously directed the flicks like Poovellam Un Vasam, Thullatha Manamum Thullum and Deepavali. He has come up after some hiatus and this time around, he emerges with this entertainer Manam Koththi Paravai. The enterprise is the fusion of romance and comedy. The director and the writer have tried to make it a thorough entertainer by using the required spices to allure the cinegoers.

The flick talks about the friends whose one stupid act makes them land into big trouble of their life. Will they be able to get out of it is what forms the rest of the film. D Imman has scored the music for the flick.

Kannan (Siva Karthikeyan) happens to be a simple village guy who falls in love with his neighbor Revathy (Athmiya). She is the daughter of the family who terrorizes the entire village and their fists do the things for them. The father of Kannan (Ilavarasu) is a building contractor. Kannan’s friends want to see the lovers united. But her wedding gets fixed with an affluent and influential guy from the neighboring village. Now Kannan’s friends have very limited time to do the things as per their plan. Help is taken by two of Kannan’s friends from Mumbai (Sreenath and Chams). They abduct Revathy. From here the big trouble starts off.

Plot is not unique or novel at all, we have grown seeing these kinds of movies. Screenplay is good and attracts but carries some loopholes as well. Execution by Ezhil is attention grabbing and you would love to give distinction marks. Music by D Imman is ordinary. Cinematography is appealing.

Siva Karthikeyan delivers the goods well but he is not potentially powerful to carry the movie on his shoulders as a solo lead which is why the director adds other characters of his pals in the movie. Athmiya is good to watch. Siva’s friends enact their parts well. Rest of the cast fills the bill also.

Final Verdict:

On the whole, Manam Koththi Paravai is a time pass entertainer.
