Mumbai: These days Shahid Kapoor and Priyanka Chopra are quite in the news and the news headlines would love to feature both of them. Well, behind the heavy projection of the two is their upcoming movie ‘Teri Meri Kahaani’ directed by Kunal Kohli. The movie is based on the three eras – 1910, 1960 and 2012. The flick will be released on June 22nd all over the world. A good hype for the movie is being done and the makers of the movie are not leaving any stone unturned for a good dose of promotion.
IIFA Awards are all set to happen from June 7 to 9th in Singapore and this time, Shahid Kapoor and Farhan Akhtar have fetched in the hosting of the show. Lets’ wait and see if they will be able to entice the film audiences and the common masses respectively.
The sources say that both Shahid Kapoor and Priyanka Chopra will be paying tribute to Bollywood’s yesteryears actress and south film industry. The reports have it that Shahid Kapoor will pay tribute by dancing on the southern numbers whereas Priyanka will pay the homage to yesteryears classy actress Rekha by dancing on her famous numbers.
Shahid Kapoor tells that a number of south actors are coming to IIFA this time around including the legendary Kamal Haasan, thus Shahid is going to perform on old south famous songs such as the songs from the movie Appu Raja. He utters that he is trying to learn the lyrics of the south songs so that he can perform well. Priyanka says that she loves Rekha and it will be a big honor to pay tribute to this legendary actress of Hindi cinema.
Rekha will be presented the Lifetime Achievement Award this year at IIFA. Both Shahid and Priyanka will also be promoting their movie ‘Teri Meri Kahaani’ by dancing on the movie’s tracks
